In this case, the OCI version used by the host is the same as the OCI versionreferenced in the version.ini file. The latter file also contains settingsfor OCI compatibility with non-Windows hosts. You can use the commandline switch -V to view the build number.
In order to automatically use the ODAC version wrapprovided with oracle, the iDRACv8i host will add compatibility settings forOracle Advanced Client Tools (ACT) for ODAC. The following two sectionscontain the compatibility settings in a special section to be added to the lrd.inilocated in the $iDRAC_DC/Config/Database folder. When they are missing, the default settings specified in the host's configuration file (eg, iDRAC_Main.ini) will be used instead.
Please refer to the Oracle iDRAC User Instruction section in the release note for the versionof Oracle iDRAC being run on the iDRACv8i host. In the following example, assume that the version of Oracle iDRAC being run on theiDRACv8i host, is the initial shipping version. This is the initial shipping version, not the latest revision of such an iDRAC. d2c66b5586
